The combined cycle power plant (CCPP) at Hazira in India uses natural gas and water, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions by limiting the use of the coal/lignite powered Western Grid of India. The project has the added benefits of creating jobs in the area, contributing to income security, and helping to improve local infrastructure such as roads and telecommunications.
